Is this a once a year thing. Will there be another opportunity to take this later in the year?
Unfortunately for me I'm booked to be out of town on company training, I sure hate to wait until next year to get in to the Autoslalom |

| Yes, it's a once a year thing. Even if you don't take the school though, you can definately come out to events. We have lots of experienced drivers that can help anyone to get started and have fun at events. |

| Gonna be hosted by the Calgary Sports Car Club. I think it's gonna be at Race City, but I don't think it's confirmed. |

| Keep us posted on events as they occur. The short notice meant that quite a few of us are already booked for other things on the dates offered. |

| I find it a little strange that the evolution school costs more then the WCMA race school.. Considering that you don't get a competition license, and it’s not at a race track. Nothing against the CSCC. Its just a little strange in my view. |

CSCC holds a novice Solo school with local/volunteer instructors and it costs around $40, just like the ASA school.
The ARCA (WCMA) road race school is also run by volunteers.
The Evo school is a commercial venture, so they are looking to make some profit plus the instructors are also paid for their time. They also all come from the U.S., so there is the expense of flying them up and putting them in hotels for the weekend, plus meals etc. There are only about 12 or 18 students per day in the Evo school, so you've got fewer people to pick up the cost.
The Evo instructors are also very accomplished autocrossers. Most have won at least one, if not several SCCA National Solo 2 championships, so you're getting instruction from some of the best autocross drivers in North America.
$250/day is a lot of money for an autocross school, but if it's what you like to do and you want to get better at it, it's worth it. |
