Costco?
BBQ Country?
All it really needs is consistent flame control & a thermometer.
Don't know if 2 vs 3 burners is any diff but I suppose 3 will be preferred.

The key thing to the BBQ is buying one with good burners and good cooking surface. You can find many cheaper BBQs that are equal to more expensive ones, just without the brand name.
As well, I'd advise buying the slightly larger BBQ as well. You can get ones that are slightly bigger than standard, but makes all the difference. |

Someone I work with bought one of the big stainless steel ones from costco last year and wasn't too impressed with it. He said his buddy bought a really basic weber and although it is a bit smaller, it apparently is way better.
My vote is BBQ country for selection and knowledgable staff, Home Depot for well priced lower end ones (they often have the same model for less money, although BBQ country will match the price). |

They were dicks there. My wife and i told them that their BBQ was $50 cheaper at Rona and the guy pretty much told me I was a lier . So my wife got pissed off and we left. We later went back to Rona and bought it there for $50 cheaper.
BTW it was a Weber Genisis in stainless for natural gas.

The only thing that you have to be careful with is if you buy a Crappy Tire special or a Costco special and it breaks; usually you can't find parts for them where as if you buy name brand you will always find replacement parts. Just a FYI.

do u really need a BBQ,, all u really need is fire.. and to mak efire all u really nieed is ahoel inteh ground and wood and grill on top.. and u have all that already in your house
maybe not teh hole but i bet u got a shovel.
on side note base ur BBQ purchase based on how many people will typical eat from your BBQ it is nice to have big one, but if u don't constanly have big BBQ u waste lot of fuel heating it up think small and efficient.
also decide if u want mobility or fixed. natural gas make ur BBQ fixed where as propane allows u to move it., and size matter if u ever decide to take it along for camping or picnic. |

| I got my BBQ at Superstore almost three years ago. I think it was $200 and has a side burner too. It's the only BBQ I've ever used that the igniter consistently works. So, if you want a cheaper, reliable BBQ, check out Superstore. |

BBQ Country will be the first stop then.
And then it'll be price shopping at other stores :D

Looked at this BBQ while at BBQ Country today:
Weber EP320
Pretty cool, the burners are horizontal as opposed to the more traditional vertical ones (i.e. front to back)
Has a side burner/stove top and a really good grease catching system.
Drips into a fairly large disposable tin pan.
Even has a propane tank indicator to show you how full it is.
Plus the thermometer on the lid is HUGE :D
Most likely going to go for this but will check around at Costco and Home Depot/Rona too. |

I used to work at bbq country, so perhaps I could lend some advice.
Terry if you decide to go for that weber, check if they still have the Joe Club Card deal going on, in which case I believe you get either a free cover (expensive for webers) or a free $80 dollar rotisserie set...or something :) .
The webers def. have the quality and warranty to backup their reputation, but for the same price, you can get a seriously big and decked out Broil King. The tradeoff is typically in the warranty and cosmetics. The highest end Broil Kings have the soild stainless tubes that are standard in Webers, so you're really not losing that much quality.
As far as comparable shopping, theres occasion where some hardware store has the "same" bbq for a bit cheaper, but its a fucking bitch to go through warranty items (bbq country will do it for you for awhile), the models aren't actually the exact same, and the people there really don't know what the fuck they're talking about. |

Cool thanks for the tips Black Jack :)
Oh the 1 major thing that caught my eye with the Weber is that the burners are laid out horizontally.
It makes more sense to me to place the items I'm cooking left to right than front to back.
Easier to flip & rotate when it's all in front of you vs. having to reach all the way to the back to flip & rotate, especially when you have stuff on the warming rack or the heat is turned way up (cooked forearms ;) ) |

I love mine Terry. It works awesome. In terms of BBQ Country and their free cover; well its made in China and its not a Weber cover. In reality its worth $25-30. I just bought a generic cover from Rona and it works well. Maybe when Weber comes out with a cover that will fit my BBQ then I will buy that.
