driving cars back from vancouver - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey i'm just wondering how registration works if i'm driving a car back from Vancouver to Calgary. Do I get some kind of grace period in between the vehicle clearing customs and being brought to my home? If I have an "in transit" note in my window does that replace the need for a license plate?

ICBC dealers in BC sell Temporary Operators Permits that you will need to purchase for a certain amount of days in order to get your car back from BC. They include temporary registration and insurance and has a sticker you will need to put in your window

Phone registries in both Alberta and BC, they have become more strict in BC concerning imported vehicles, so you could show up there and not have a way to get the T.O.P. to drive back with.
