FC3S Polyurethane Suspension Bushings - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey wondering who has bought kits from either Prothane or Energy. What you think of the products etc. I'm thinking of buying the Energy Master Kit but just want some peoples opinions on the products.

Thanks
Matt

McTinkerson
I just picked up the master kit and will be throwing it in this weekend. I'll be able to let you know soon how install went, as for driving response that might have to wait til next month.

U figure you'll be out and about by next month?

I had the full Prothane kit installed in my car. Big difference; solid feel. two thumbs up for that mod.
rest of the suspension set up is: RSR race springs (6k F) (4k R) , tokico blues, DTSS Eliminators. Falken Azenis rt-215?? (the ones that are close to slicks), M's front strut t. brace, Mazdaspeed rear t. brace.
The thing grips like crazy, and the response and feedback is great... the car actually wants to rotate mid-corner!

I need some input from you guys on fitment and such. Some people on rx7 club have said they've had some fitment issues. Are most the pieces in the kit a perfect plug in or do you need to start cutting stuff away and crap?

McTinkerson
[Forgive the thread jacking] If all goes as planned the 7 will be on the road by June, yes.

dam u i wish i would have kept the suspension...i didnt end up selling my car :(

CamroseFC
Fadi- the blues work well in the rear, the fronts I'd say are slightly underdamped... the springs are great in terms of grip driving. Glad I got them instead of coilovers, actually!
;)

SilviaDrifter
hahaha im thinking of getting some megan coilovers im poor now

SilviaDrifter
and u got a crazy deal on em too hahaha all brand new for like 550

CamroseFC
Fadi- are you saying you wanna sell some stuff? :D
have you mounted that t04b yet? I think I wanna go that way too.

about bushings- You shouldn't have to cut/trim the Prothane bushings, but then I didn't install them... I've heard that putting them in the deep freeze prior to installation makes thing a bit easier.

back on topic

i had energy suspesion,, but the cost of install was more than i could bare.. for a very rigid car.. that i will daily drive and since none of my bushing were shot i sold the kit and i will wait for year or two

kypraio
I can imagine getting someone else to put it in would be expensive i was planning on just doing it myself.
