So i got primer and the white i need and a clear coat. But i have no clue what to do for sanding i now i need to sand before the primer casue it the paint wont have anything to grab but what grits of snad paper and when do i sand please. thinking of 2-3 coats of white depends on how it sits on.

depends on how good your primer is. if it's cheapo stuff and won't cover lots, use a finer grit.. somewhere on the lines of 240 or 280.

if your primer is decent, use 180 or even 150.

for base after primer, just go 400, then 600 wet or dry.

then clean it and your good to go

but white is a good color anyways, hard to see if you did a bad job on it.
