jus a super quick question...

if ur bringing a car from the states

(lets use a 04/05 sti)

how much extra did u have to dish out...

cause right now im sitting @ 27,000 canadian to purchase it in the states...

I believe its a additional 12%. That will cover customs duty and gst.

If the car is built in the US you dont have to pay duty. But you pay GST, air conditioning tax (I think around $225), and RIV tax (around $115).

car was built in japan probably..

You don't have to worry about that at the boarder. You will have 45 days to go get your provincial and federal inspections done.

In Canada, yes. But not in the US.
