| I bought my 91 fwd with same milege plus more repairs and upgrades for $3500 if that helps. |

| I personally wouldn't buy anything that's been "lady driven". |

X2. "Lady Driven" is usually accompanied by Poorly Maintained. |

| I wouldent pay more than 3k for ANY car with 250K+ on it. Because i dont care how well they put that thing together, by then, shit falls apart. |

Yea the only thing i would even consider buying that was "lady driven" would be an oven. |

it is lady driven lol
older lady too
she said she'd let me have it for 4k.
its in mint shape.
i know lady driven usually means "bagged on" but it really is
from pricing other TSI's on here and autotrader it seems to be a good idea.
come on guys |

| Like many others said, and also being a former dsm owner, shit tends to break quick and big on dsm's so with high milage like that i wouldn't spend more than 3 for a mint one with that milage. But since you prob dont care what we have say, just buy it, it doesn't seem like anyones opinions will change your mind, it's just that you are looking for us to reinforce the choice you already made. |

"Aren't they all" in regards to oven driving.... NO they aren't! And that's the cause of many of the worlds issues these days!
Leading to, LADY DRIVEN to me means, "Curbed wheels, bad brakes, tons of diesel in the gas tank, scratched to shit paint, and carbon buildup everywhere possible in the engine"
....

As far as that car! Not worth 5500 simply because others are selling it way less.
210,000km isn't THAT bad, but for $5500, I'd say go die. $3000 is an okay deal, especially with recently modded parts like that. One problem though, is one year ago, what was the mileage?

usually "lady driven" means never maintained, never had an oil change, carbon build up, curbed at least once, scraped the bumpers at least 4x, and the interior is filthy.
for that car though, too high of mileage for that price. |

| But y'all would pay $5000 for an equivalent year Honda Civic with equivalent mileage. I don't understand. |
|
|
| Eclipser |
| I wouldent. I payed 2k for my similar year civic with 15k less miles. And that was pushing it. |

Am I the only one here that see's the obvious?
New exhaust valves and lifters at 210K. The GLARINGLY OBVIOUS part about that is that the timing belt went at 210k. if that wasn't changed as per recommended, why in the fuck would you even consider buying it? |
|
|
| beeb |
3k is a good deal
4k isnt bad
5k you are getting fucked
besides.. it will fall appart.. but isn't that why people buy rx-7's?
so they can have fun fixing them |

This man has the golden answer.
What I would be most worried about is that, since he's skimped on preventitive maintenance already, what other has he skimped on? Did he do the timing belt tensioner? Balance shaft belt? If either of those goes next, you're paying thousands in engine work.
Then, you have to start to focus on the fluid changes throughout the drivetrain (And with AWD there is much more fluid to change) and how that's going to affect it's lifespan. Along with everything else. I don't even want to think about how much a new clutch would cost at a shop.
I'd stay far, far away from it. At 260K it's well past it's prime. |
