Okay, so I need to know if people think this seems odd:
I stopped at Southside Mitsu to talk to their service guy and one of the salesmen asked if I wanted to sell my car and if so for how much, so I told him and he said I would get it and that he could probably have it sold in a week for me cause he knows some guy up in the oil patch who is looking for a car like this.
The only thing was that if he sold it, he wanted me to buy a car from him. Now he said he could get me anything I want (used that is) but I was kinda thinking of just keeping the money and paying off some debts. What would you do? Does this sound a bit suspicious? I wouldn't get to deal with the buyer at all so the salesman could increase the price, make money there and then make money by applying my car sale to something from their lot. |

| My 2003 Eclipse, the only reason I was excited about it was cause the guy he knew works in Fort Mac and makes lots of money and actually wants a show car ... I dunno ... I am supposed to email the dealer guy pics which he will forward to the potential buyer, I wish I had the buyers email!! |

haven't had a good salesman at Southside. There's one that's straight forward and low pressure. Jon C, at Westside. He was a pleasure to deal with.
I've heard better things about Westside and Northside. |

Hack out a price on the car you're interested in and then tell the guy you want X price for the car you're selling. If he won't go for it then walk away. Won't cost you more than a few minutes of your time.
Keep in mind that they are there to serve you. As the buyer you have the power. |

I bought my car from West Side, I would say they suck more lol ...
At least I know the one service guy at southside and he is really good, and I knew the former parts guy and he WAS good ... |

The salesman at Westside was good, their parts guys were dicks though, after they got the speeding ticket in my car I went to south side.
And yeah I guess it wouldnt hurt to email the guy, see what he can do. |

| Thats a great sales pitch I really like that one, he not only sells you a car but he sells your car and you makes him 2 times the comission and he makes the manager happy for anouther month. |

DONT DEAL WITH SOUTHSIDE!!
I mean it! My family bought a mitsu endeavor over there. We put down the $500 refundable deposit. I confirmed with the salesman like 3 times that they can refund it if we dont want the vehicle any more. Then we found a different Endeavor in a different place going for cheaper... and it was same year and similar milage. We went back to southside to get our money back cuz we didnt want their SUV anymore. They said they wouldnt refund it. We asked in couple places how legal it was for them to hold our money.. they all said its illegal. I had to get my 8 months preagnant sister to come with us and battle it all out (she is good at that kind of stuff). We told them we would go to court with this so they lowered the price by like $2 000 and they gave us a 2-way remote starter for the price of a regular.... my point is.. they lie and they'll try to screw you over. |

| If dude in Fort Mac wants it that bad, tell the car salesmen you'll give him a "finder's fee". Say....$2k. Then just have him sell it to the guy in Fort Mac for $2k more than you discussed. That's more commission than he would've gotten otherwise. |

BTW!
I saw the same salesman that lied to us in wested nissan.. just heads up.... As soon as he saw me he turned the other way and walked away... he remembered me after 2 years :D |

Agreed. That's actually a great idea.
As for the comment about SS holding somebody's deposit on a vehicle, you're ABSOLUTELY right, those are 100% refundable. There's another dealership NOT to deal with. |

Ya don't deal with Westside Mitsu at all. I have had nothing but problems with them. Even went as fas as to contact the general manager of the dealership and told him all the problems I had with his dealership, it was that bad. |

| well.. today i went for coffee with my friend and we saw this bio proff we know. He has a Galant. its like a 2005 or 2006. He went to southside mitsu to get an oil change. He told me that they asked him if he wasnt interested in selling his car, cuz they know some guy that wants to buy it. the salesman said that he would offer a nice price for the car cuz the buyer would be from fort mcmurray. but the condition was that my prof buys a new car from him...... i heard that and i was like WHAT THE FUCK?! cuz i remembered this post over here on 780. I dunno what they are trying but it seems like something smells really bad over here. I would watch out with selling your eclipse to them... cuz the thing they offered you at that dealership was offered to some1 else that has a totaly different car than you.. and both offers were presented in the same way. :dunno: :dunno:  |

I dunno man.. i got my eclipse from there like 2 years ago. They treated me way better than southside did with my endeavor... if i wanted a mitsubishi... id recomend west and north side (its one owner) over southside anytime.
Just my $0.02 tho |

If you want to buy a Mitsubishi, hell, any car, buy private.
I have no idea why people like getting jerked around by Stealerships all the time. Westside blows 100%, at least Southside has a decent parts department.
The 'Fort Mac buyer' is just a salesmen tactic. They don't have to sell the car they buy off you, they just have to sell you THEIR car now. |

| Yeah unless the guy in Fort Mac wants a Mitsu that has had work done to it, explaining the two offers? Plus I want lots of money for mine so the dealership wouldnt buy it off me, a private guy would pay them and they apply that to something else |

| I am about to call AMVIC on these bags of crap. They promised me a new rim and tire almost a year ago, and I still have not got it, I left 10 messages for the manager and the asshole won't return my calls, nice customer service at that place I tell you....I will NEVER send my enemies to that place. |

| yeah south side is really pushy... so is team ford, fuck, they made up do a $1000 deposit so we showed them that we were "serious" about buying it, and they said they'll refund it once the financing goes though and all.. so it does, and then the sales side is closed, so they tried to fuck us over by keeping our $1000, then we went to the financing side and then got a refund there. fucking salespeople... w/e, we got the car for pretty cheap... |
