| Sort of. There were plenty of performance models that just didn't happen to have the GT-R moniker. This particular car has a ridiculously huge turbo on it if I recall correctly. |

Yeah, it's a 83 Skyline RS2000. And yeah the turbo is pretty big. Trust td07s-25g.
Sadly this car is kicking my ass right now. It runs poorly and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I thought it was a dead fuel injector at first but now it's making me think otherwise. Any Nissan techs out there willing to work beer? :(
Also, if I do break down and take it into a shop which one would you folks recommend? Thanks.
PS: and yeah it's the car Bora used to own. |

Strangely enough I was just looking on NECC for an engine to swap into my S12 turbo, specifically an FJ20. Bora contacted me and said he had an FJ that needed work but was still in a car. "What kind of car?" I says. "83 Skyline" he says. I was a little apprehensive at first (Not knowing anything about the dr30 at the time) but the first time I saw it I fell in love and told him I would buy it. The rest is history, so to speak.
On a side note I didn't have all the money and had to give Bora payments every month (I missed a couple) and he was great about it all the whole time. Really good guy to buy a car from. |
