I guess that Calgary car trader guy that called you was all bullshit. He called me as well when I was selling my Q45. I told him to wait after the weekend and if I don't sell my car then I will call him. Well my car sold a day after the trader came out.
In your case you are kind of screwed. No one buys a sport sedan in auto unless its a Mercedes. Even the auto Porsches don't sell that well. Looks like you will just either have to trade it in or just drive it as is. Good luck.

I think you're asking way too much considering the fact that it's a year older, more miles, and an automatic.

| dent is no longer there.. automatic is a preference, and costs more than a standard by the way.. and $20000 for 90,000km is a steal of a deal. i'd say there is probably something fishy about that. definetly way to cheap.. but one hell of a deal if its in mint shape. the last s4 i saw there a couple months ago had 130,000km in brutal shape and they still wanted 25.. i would be all over that deal for the 2001 if it were true.. but thanks for your input.. i still feel my price is fair for a well maintained car.. maybe some proof of this so called deal of yours would be nice. take a look around on the net, these cars with 160,000 km are still going for 22,000 obo. |

I wasn't trying to thread-crap dude, I love your car, and I realize that most auto manufacturers charge extras for automatic transmissions... Problem is, it's anything but an "extra" for an enthusiast driver, I mean you're getting rid of yours for that exact reason... So it's not a plus when trying to sell the vehicle.
It's a damn nice car, please don't get me wrong, I was just saying I personally think the price is a little high.
And prices of used cars are coming down a lot with the falling American Dollar. You can pick up a 2001 Audi S4 2.7BiTurbo with 100,000kms for $16,000USD... So $20,000CAD isn't even close to unreasonable. |
