well, i got my pace shitter header that i ordered on wednesday, and i took it in to action muffler on 118th ave and 81st on thursday afternoon to get one of the pipes closed shut, add an EGT bung into it, one of my pipes crimped/welded shut, and a wideband bung on my down pipe. the guy at the counted said it would take maybe an hour or so to do what i asked, and asked me if i wanted to wait for it to get done. since i was strapped on time and had to go to work, i decided to pick it up on friday instead. when i went in there to pick it up, i looked over the bungs that were welded in, and they seemed to be fairly good.
the ONLY problem i had was that when they welded the EGT bung on the header, they forgot to chip away the excess amounts of weld inside the header, but it wasnt really a problem anyways. the welds were a bit on the thick side, but i know jack-shit about welding, so i cant say if it was for structure reason or what not.
the best part was when i was handed the bill, they only charged me $60 for labor since i provided the bungs to be welded in. i was expecting it to be around the neighborhood of $100-150.
their service at the front desk was kinda crappy, but considering what i paid and what i got, something had to give. ill definetely go to them to get my exhaust done up since i only need to give them an hour to a days notice. |
