| Video Camera To a DVD-R - Click HERE for Original Thread |

mother of shit
Ok so here's my problem I need to get a video off my camera on the computer, edit it, and burn it to a DVD-R.
So far I've accomplished to get all excited about thinking the movie was burned, but it would'nt work on my DVD player. Editing is really easier for me, but when i try to put my video from my camera to the computer it comes out all distroted and blurry with alot of missing colour when it is close up to something.
I've searched alot on this, but failed immensely and am getting pretty mad lol. So if you could give me a tip or anything that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using windows movie maker, which came with my computer.
It has a DVD burner too, but I'm guessing I don't have the proper driver. |

I have never used that program. But does it have a burn dvd function, or are you just putting the movie (.mpeg, .mov, etc....) onto the dvd? Because if it's not working you might just be burning a "data dvd"
It's not a thing about drivers for the burner, you need a program that will burn dvds that are made to play on your dvd player. The only programs that i know are iDVD (easy to use) and DVD studio Pro (very hard to use but I know it well). Sadly they are both for mac only. Most stuff like this is mac only. I'm sure if you google you could find more. These are the only programs we used.
If I was in edmonton I would be happy to show you, but I am here in saskatoon.
If worst comes to worst you could take the data dvd with the mpeg or mov to a place like cine a/v. They can put it on a dvd for you they have to programs. |

try this Nero 7
i use it to make top gear episodes work on dvd players, m player supports dvd-r so i take the episode and get nero to convert the avi xvid file into mpeg2 .vob files and then nero automagicly burns to the dvd, go find that piece of software nero 7 ultra its about 100 dollers and it will make your life so much easyer.
on top of that you can still use window movie maker to edit and compile the video and use nero to convert the video to .vob and burn to disc.
let me know how this works for you. |

well I dont know why this is, but when i load my video on the computer it's all blurring I've tried alllot of things, but nothing worked.
I read somewhere that they where saying use a firewire, which makes it more clear. Is that true? |

| Fire wire is great. That is what we used to go from the tape deck to the computer at school and at cine a/v. |
