Driving home tonight i noticed my radar detector go off in an unusual spot, instead of braking i decided to look for the cop first. by then i realized it was the green pickup beside me. he gets in behind me and lights me up. i signal to him that i am going to pull over in a roadside turnout to be out of traffic. as i turn in he pulls up beside me and opens his window saying. "you're radar detector sucks, its a better paperwieght than anything" i agree and he continues, "you know how fast you were going" i say about 10-15 over, he says "23km over the limit, i was clocking you for about 5 seconds before you're radar detector picked me up, your best bet is to keep your eyes open better for us and to remember we've got a green truck too". I agree with him and he smiles and rolls away. So basically i got out of a ticket for about 25 over the limit. Thanks officer, whoever you are.
P.S. who sells V1's in the city? |

| I was heading home from work yesterday headed north on the whitemud and saw a new(er) chevrolet canyon truck (complete with a canopy for total inconspicuousness) pulled over on the other side of the road. I didn't think anything of it until a bike shot past and a flash went off at the front of the truck. Beware boys |

| isn't clocking means when the cop is judging his speed with yours and determines how fast your going so no radar detector is going to pick it up because he isn't shooting anything at you. BTW cobra is one of the worst the v1 is one of the best. i just got a passport x50 it save me a few times. |

| i've never had one. and i speed all the time. but i pick my areas.. i dont constantly speed. anyways moral of the story is i've been driving for 6 years i and i do not have a single ticket. to many people rely on radar detectors, i have a few friends who have them and they have a bunch of tickets. lol I go on instinct:fingersx: |

Clocking is any way to determine speed, though usually cops will only use the term clocking when they DIDN'T eyeball it and actually have it recorded on a "clock". |
