weightless workout routines - Click HERE for Original Thread

does anybody have any good workout routines that don't involve weights? i.e. variations on push ups, sit ups, chin ups, etc.
I have a few exercises I do but theres not much structure to my workouts. I notice that i do increase strength adequately, which is most noticeable when i play sports, but any gains are slow and far between. I know i could do weights but i did that for a few years and i found that i much prefer weightless strength exercises because i found that for me, the strength gains "translate" better into real life (i.e. less pump but more strength)
Anyways, any routines that hopefully incorporate (but aren't limited to) the lower abs and legs would be really appreciated.
Or if anybody has advice or experience in making workouts more efficient, i'm all ears too

Thanks

You might want to consider body ball exercises. They are excellent at stabilizing and strengthening your core. As for legs when I was with my trainer she had me to “bursts” or cardio. Such as bench jumps and burpies for a few minutes at a time throughout my workout with 3 reps of each exercise. The bench jumps are jumping from the ground to a workout bench and are excellent for leg stamina and strength. You would be surprised how easy it looks but how well it works and it burns! Much better than running of the treadmill for an hour as you can mix it up a bit.

If you are looking for a whole workout though – consult a trainer. Even if it is only for a few sessions. They are professionals and should be able to hook you up with something challenging. When you are tired of what they give you – you can always go back for another customized routine from them.
