Too paraphrase some rules....

Vehicles with high center of gravity and relatively narrow track may not be allowed to enter a solo II event. i.e. Sport utility light trucks, off road vehicles, vans or any vehicle deemed incapable of safely executing typical autocross maneuvers.

I don't know if the Tracker would be allowed to compete. You might want to find someone to let you co-drive their car, at least as a backup plan.
------------------------

BTW, if you were registered to get on the base for the first event, you don't have to register again for future events.

So just drive up to the gates and our names are still gonna be on the list? Good to go? Just show up?

black5speed
Does it cost anything? I'd like to come and make a fool of myself .... I have to try out the new Sprint turbo anyway.

ChromeDragon
The Tracker doesn't have that high of a center of gravity, the tires break loose long before I would lift up wheels. It's a freaking tin can, I'm going to be taking the roofs off also to lower the center of gravity even more.

I'll ask the guys though, I figured that the smaller course would be better. If there is a chance of rolling it's lessened by the lower speeds.

Hell yeah I'm there! I didn't buy a helmet to use it only once.

Anyone know why all the events on the Albertasolo page have changed to Namao? Why no more Michelin warehouse?

AFAIK, its being sold, so the current owner doesn't want us playing there. The original plan was just to have the first event at BFG/Michelin and the rest at Namao anyway, so its really just the first event that got changed.

Of course, if we can't get Namao, we're kind of without a backup plan at the moment. All of the ASA events through August have been booked, so we should be OK, but depending on world events, they could just change their minds and not allow anyone to use the base.

I'd recommend that anyone who plans on attending ASA events subscribe to the ASA Yahoo Group. If any last minute changes come up again, they are likely to get posted there before the ASA web site, because anyone in the know can post the info, not just the webmaster. Also, if you subscribe to the email, it just shows up and you don't have to remember to check the website every couple of days. There is a link on the ASA website to the Yahoo Group.

I don't think anyone would appreciate oil and coolant all over the track.

Would it be a problem racing a Tracker Mr.Heavyfoot? I don't want to piss anyone off if it would be.....

Perilous_Enterprises
Hey Pat, I agree with Matt cuz for the most part, Trackers are all that... [/cheesyattemptatrappin]

NEhoo, I used to work for suzuki and I've had my time in trackers.. I got one to tip twice and it didn't take much. Trackers go over well with off camber turns, and bumps at the apex... in my whole 8 runs of experience, there tends to be a bit of both in an autoX course..

My point being, I dont think they'll let you run the tracker, chromey.. :( (would be a riot to see tho :) )

now i"m all excited again.. :P

I don't know for sure about the Tracker. As I've said before, there's a reason I don't do tech.

I'll ask the powers that be about it.

mrintegra
I had such a great time last time, I will show up to this one for sure

I don't think a tracker would be allowed..... but just like Pat.. not sure either. but think he is correct about sport uttes ( and mini uttes ) not being allowed.
