Sxn
nice car, but im not a fan of that type of spoiler.

superspeed
i don think ur buddy will like you exposing his license plate

Sxn
who really cares about exposing the plate?
ppl are going to see it on the streets anyways.

ChromeDragon
Ditch the spoiler ... no literally, throw it in a ditch. Either that or get some wheels that take attention away from it.

NightmareMX6
Very sexy but that wing is too fucking big

EK9Hatch
If the steering wheel was on the other side and it didn't have a boeing 767 wing on it, it would look nice! Looks clean though

why do you have to make a comment about putting the steering wheel on the other side every time someone posts a JDM car. it was barely funny the first time and is even less funny the 100th time. seriously, give it up, its more anoying than anything. but i agree about the wing, either ditch it or get some bigger wheels. that is a sweet car though. i might add that the wing looks better in person than in pics but still not to my taste.

Because it's a JDM and I'm not a fan of JDM's because of where the steering wheel sits. Thats MY opinion. You have yours, I have mine. Everyone has the right to post on this forum, and just because you don't like my view point, doesn't mean I shouldn't post it.

This is a car forum, by posting pics, there will be a response (both positive and negative) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just because you have a JDM car and do not agree with me, doesn't mean you need to cry. Come on, your a big boy....do I need to get you a tissue?
Why not simply ignore me? Damn, I would start an internet fire if I responded to everyone's post that "annoyed" me.

If you can't handle criticism on a internet web forum, how do you handle "real life" situations? :dunno:
Anyways, I'm not trying to hurt your internet feelings, its just my opinion....you will be ok.

:p

Nice car, except for the spoiler and the steering wheel. (not talking about LHD vs. RHD). I don't know why so many people ditch their perfectly fine OEM steering wheels for those silly looking momo "racing" steering wheels. That doesn't add anything to the interior IMO, and if anything kinda cheapens the look. Most of the Japanese sports cars of that era (supra, Z, rx-7, 3000gt, etc.) all had fairly tasteful black leather steering wheels from the factory. (some even with airbags depending on the year).

DoubleDown
Nice car, except for the wing. I love blacked out cars.

I liked the responsiveness of a smaller steering wheel. You can feel the road so much better.

I agree. Plus it makes it easier for a tall guy like me to fit in the car. My knee isn't wedged in between the wheel and console.

And I agree, ditch the wing or get some baller wheels. Or get some baller wheels and ditch the wing. LOL

What's the diameter difference between an FD oem wheel and a momo?

I can't speak for other cars, but whenever I've seen them in Z32s, they've never LOOKED any smaller to my eyes (but I've never measured). I've never felt the Z32 oem steering wheels were too big. :dunno:

rxheaven93
yea he want to take off the wing just doesn't wanna have 8 holes in his trunk lid.. so he is either going to get cf lid or stock wing.. buti don't really know lol I am surprised he hasn't posted yet lol

It's hard to believe how big a difference even a 1" smaller diameter wheel makes until you've driven with one. Give it a shot, you'll never go back.

Xtra_X
very very nice.

No. I don't wanna...

You can't make me put one of those ugly wheels in my car. :neener:

Solle
This is my rex. :p

Yea, the wings going to go soon, but than i'll have 8 small holes where the brackets are mounted. I might fill them with silicone until i can get the hatch fixed properly. Is that a wise idea? Or is there a better way to prevent rust and water leakage.

For what i payed, ($8900 from Redline). I got a really clean rx7, inside and out. I'm still looking for more tips and advice from anyone who knows alot about rotaries.

Black duct tape over the holes and you're set!

Ayeso
I concur with the smaller wheel, with a stock civic wheel, about 14 inches in diameter maybe more, I am wedged knee against wheel. My aftermarket one is 12 and I no longer hit my knees :D

haha function over fashion Jason! :)

arabian_ryda
put some deep dish wheels in the rear and that spoiler wont look that bad.

boarderfatty
A somewat proper way to fix the holes would be to pick up a small fibreglass kit from crappy tire with the cloth and resin, push it up into the holes from the bottom side, then go over with a body filler ontop. it is fairly easy to do, then the only thing to worry about is paint, which you could do 1/2 assed with a color match and clear spraybomb from cmax or something, orelse take it to a shop, where it shouldn't be to much to paint either just the spots, or the entire hatch

tho_chi
not a fan of those spoilers but as soon as he puts some ballin rims on it ellevates the car that much more.

Why not just tack on some sheetmetal on the underside? Accomplished the same feat and will hold up better.

You should put it in your sig, would save you a lot of time from having to type it out all the time.

Just consider giving it a rest.. You can preach "Its my opinion.. I have a right to it" all day long..

But we all know your opinion... And noone cares.. So drop it..

My advice.

I just figured not everyone has a welder in their garage, and fibreglass tends to be slightly easier to work with trying to get it into tight and akward places. I doubt you could get at it with a welder on the bottom side, but I guess since paint would be involved anyways it would not matter. I just figured I would suggest this because it is relatively simple project for the not so well equipped, and unexperienced person who wants to experiment with bodywork
