Ford Fiesta Tattoo Edition Designed To Boost Sales and "Ward off Evil"
PRETORIA, South Africa — When Milo "Mr. Lucky" Marcel was charged with coming up with tattoo decals for the Ford Fiesta, he gravitated toward such images as skulls and tribal designs. Turns out, the images do more than dress up the little econobox.
"The Skulls design offers a more masculine approach," he explained in a statement. "In some cultures it is believed that skulls ward off evil and protect one, either spiritually or physically." Plus, they may ward off the tug of competitive vehicles on easily swayed consumers.
Ford said it will offer the new limited-edition Fiesta in three-door and five-door body styles here starting this month. The Ford Fiesta Tattoo ranges in price from the equivalent of U.S. $195 for the tribal decal to the equivalent of U.S. $550 for the skulls decal. Six tattoo themes are available, including tribal, sacred heart, skulls, roses, butterflies and hearts.
"The tribal design has become very popular in recent years," Mr. Lucky said. "It can be used to depict a number of different images and is sure to be a popular choice. The Sacred Heart design, which features an all-seeing-eye emitting rays of light, is bright and vivid."
What this means to you: The tattoo trend may be getting kicked off in South Africa, but it undoubtedly will have global appeal.

I can't stand anything like that on cars. Even bumper stickers drive me nuts. Sooooo TACKY. Political and religious symbols and messages displayed on peoples' cars... Ridiculous crap, all of it. |

| THUD |
I don't get it...you put stickers on that look like common/popular tattoos and call it the new fad?
You can make your own decals and stickers for cars/trucks that are designed by you, and air brushing a car is still common and ever growing.
Shouldn't a tattoo be a personal thing that you put togerter....hmmmm  |
