shift knob in 93 prelude - Click HERE for Original Thread

me and my friend were trying to get the damn nshift knob off in his car, he wants to buy a new one and i need ur guyss help on

a) how to get the damn ting off
B) anything we should consider when buyign a new one

you either have to turn it (some are very hard to turn of) because they are threaded on, which i believe yours is, or it can be screwed on with set screws or actuall screws. those are just the types i have seen. if you cannot see any screws or allen heads around the base of the knob, your best bet is to try to get a real good grip and turn it off :unsure: :bigthumbup:

I know its a bitch; take a skinny flat head and where the chrome plastic piece meets the knob just kind of seperate it off cause its clipped on to the knob or if you turn real hard it might come off, when it seperates just unscrew the knob.
That chrome thingy can be prick to take off.
