Euro Meet Anyone? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Fazda
I see all these groups out there with their Civic clubs, rsx clubs etc, they all have their own meets with strictly their make of cars. I think we should plan a date sometime this summer and get all the euro cars togeher, finally see something classy and refined instead of another riced out civic? What do u guys think?

seevik
sounds good, do it in a month

chrenan
I'm up for it, last year's get together was lots of fun.

Black Jack
Do it up some nice weekend.

speedster9110
I was thinking of Planning another one for September (around the same time as last year).

chrenan
Scott, sounds good to me, the last one you planned was great, I'll be there.

If anyone wants to pick a parking lot and a weekend evening between now and September for a get together, I'll be there.

siopao
hey guys, i'm new to the euro scene but i'll be down for a meet!

Fazda
Awesome guys! I cant wait to see all your rides. We will definetly have to get a plan together and pick a date.

chrenan
How about the afternoon of Sunday, July 15 for a parking lot get together, nothing fancy at this point, we'll leave the in depth planning for our September get together (Scott ;) ).

Any location suggestions?

SilverZ24
I'm up for it if I'm around. Summer is always busy, but I will try to make time to see some other Euro's

Fazda
the 15th works for me!

Black Jack
Yea, 15th would be cool. Siopao, your car looks pretty tight my friend.

IDTrav
shitty...I got a company golf tournament on sunday otherwise I'd be down.

Fazda I still have to check out your car, didn't know you were buddies with Nestorvich ;) I'll bring the VAGcom too so we can reprogram your locks & check for faults.

Siopao, very nice upgrade

Fazda
fuck eh. u know craig. haha thats good shit buddy. when do u want to do it up? where do u know nestertits from?

chrenan
How about same place as last year, lots of food options with the second cup and ice cream place:

Sunday July 15th
2:00 pm
Second Cup
9790 170 Street

IDTrav
chrenan, what kind of cam are you using? I had a Stage II Trif-flow cam with similar specs. Custom regrind from Colt Cams in Langley B.C.

Ever thought about trading that Audi TB in for a pair of dual Webers ;)

chrenan
The Stage I profile I have is the one from European Motorworks (used to be Euro Race) in Hawthorne, California, the same place that did my big valve head.

You read my mind on the Webers, I bought a new dual Weber conversion kit a couple of months back. I need to wait until my larger garage is finished before I start anymore major work on the 924, I'll likely install them over the winter...

IDTrav
Fucken eh' man!

Have you ever tuned carbs or will you be getting a shop to do it?

I just shipped my DCOE 45z off to some lucky SOB down south after stripping the car down and parting everything out.

Spent 2 summers re-jetting, rebuilding the carbs with all new floats, needles & seats, etc. 42mm chokes, crazy linkage setup & port-matched custom made intake manifold coupled to a fully-ported with a 6-angle valve job done on the head!

I left the bottom end with new motor mounts, axels, pistons, bearings, etc. etc. etc. all donated to the scrap yard haha.

RIP May 2007

speedster9110
What time ????:dunno:

chrenan
Woops, time and details, I updated my post above as well:

Sunday July 15th
2:00 pm
Second Cup
9790 170 Street

That's a nice DCOE 45 setup! The carbs are already setup for my application, so I'm hoping tuning them won't be too much of a hassle. I might take it to Eurasia once I'm finished the install and have them tune it. They've done work for me before and I trust them, plus I'm sure they must have experience getting multiple Webers in sync. I still need to have my ignition distributor modified to work only with mechanical advance, no vacuum, not sure where I'll get that done, I might just send it south like I did with my head.

Hey man thanks! I just took the CF hood off - maybe i'll put it on again during the meet. we'll see!

July 15th sounds good to me. Location u guys picked it good for me as well.

chrenan
Alright, should be good boys! My car better not be the oldest one there again, I'm so embarassed. Plus I better not have the smallest engine again. Hopefully a Citroen 2CV will show up.

JustinL
There is a Porsche club/ BMW club autocross that day :(

If I'm outta there early, I might try to swing by. How long do you guys expect to be hanging around?

mike

chrenan
Sounds good to me, even if I don't head all the way to the park, I need to go that way to get home.

omniman69

mike

Fazda

chrenan
Just three of us, my 924, a 944, and a nice '99 BMW 3 series.

Fazda
i wish i would have made it. sorry guys.

omniman69
i showed up for a bit, didn't see any notable cars outside second cup while i was there. Saw a burgundy 944, thought nothin of it, and carried on my merry way to the BMW meet in sherwood park.

mike

IDTrav
yeah sorry guys...leaving for Frankfurt tomorow and kinda ran outta time yesterday

How was the turnout at the bimmer meet?

omniman69
the bimmer meet was pretty good, a really nice 635C, and a 2002, among the other sweet cars.

i had the only 733i 5spd car there, lol.

mike

b_w.
i guess i showed up a half hour after everybody left:(

chrenan
Yeah, I think we head off at about 3:30.

DoubleDown
Wasn't much at the ShPk meet when I got there... just a bunch of E36's, and a 2002. We stayed for about 5 minutes and left.

Not much of a euro scene around Edmonton I guess :dunno:

arabian_ryda
