talonstylz
i think i saw you driving that civic at the traffic circle on 107 and 142.

Looks good.

94turbocoupe
they do make CF doors for my year but not for JDM....boo-urns!!!

thanks for the props.

Steve

Savage
wow that thing is awsome. when are you going to take it to the track and see what it pulls.

94turbocoupe
as soon as i can work out the JRSC problems.....friggen thing hates 9000 RPM.....as the belt tensioner loosens up at that rpm.....its getting so bad that i think i wanna sell the SC....oh well....maybe a vortec one....who knows...

Steve

ChromeDragon
You swapped in all the RHD parts/dash/etc.?:dunno:

wow you would think this is the first time ive posted pics of my car on this site....lol....all the same q's....yes i did a RHD swap, yes i know the civic type r was a hatch, yes its superchrged, yes im keeping the color this way, and yes half the car is CF.....i think that covers everything....lol

Steve

turbojono
I gotta be honest, that looks horrible...in my opinion and looking at it impartially from society's standards of astetics.

Quy
yeah, i know u don't give a f*ck wut i or anybody else thinks of your car, but that thing looks ridiculous. at least paint the rest of it black so it'll match. and the front lip doesn't line up with the skirts and back bumper. i know yer trying to be special and unique, but damn, it just looks like a frankenstein project.

Prudz_lude
^ actually for fitment of CF the fitment looks amazing

Quy
actually the kit doesn't even line up. All the body pieces look mismatched, reguardless if they are all CF.

THUD
I saw this thing rolling down the yellow-head last week, looked like a ghetto civic till it past me.
It's the fenders that make it look strange since most ppl just paint over them or paint over part of it to hi lite that it's fiber.
For me the front bumper needs a white ac-sent like canards or bottom lip that is white but still it looks good just keep tuning away.

ChromeDragon
That's a lot of money to spend to make the car look like it has just had the body repaired and is on its way to a paint shop.

SilverZ24
Definitely would look better black. Otherwise it looks just like Chromedragon said.

Not a fan of the bumper style or the CF/white combo... I'd paint the non-CF panels black, personally. Not a fan of the RHD swap either.

That's a lot of CF though!

bearinalude
why bother swapping it to a RHD????? i don't understand...:dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Actually that does line up very well for cf. Go look at how terrible the majority of cf products line up besides siebon. Every meet i have seen the only hoods that line up are siebon.

WorkInProgress
When I said "why is it different colors" I was trying to say "That looks like shit" in a nice way... I know that it's carbon fiber... Just though I'd clear that up.

ctt1982
i agree with the consensus. either black or white, not both. looking at that car tells me you have more money than taste. or you just really loved that vw rabbit commercial.

fugumerkur
Whats with all the WHy why why questions.

The guy has a unique car. Carbon fibre is not cheap and his car is half Carbon fibre!

I don't know about his situation financially but not all of us can go out and get a large sum of money to build our car in one sitting. Many people tend to build as they go and get more of a feel for their vehicle .

I think it looks great, its probably a shit ton lighter in the front of the car and looks to be a well handling car.

as for Uniqueness, this car has it, it'll stand out from the other civics no prob.

if it wasn't for uniqueness we'd all be driving the same car.

94turbocoupe
lol well thanks for the responses, but i like it that way...i was looking for it to stand out...and it does...if you dont like it, its cool, cuz i built it for me.....and i didnt just put it all together overnight....ive been slowly doing it for 3 years now....the first year i bought the cf hood, trunk, and fenders, and the car was black at the time, the next year i did the rhd swap and the ctr motor, brakes and suspension, and this year i painted it white and bought the kit and supercharger....the reason for painting it white was when it was black it wasnt noticed at all....now adays everyone on the street seems to glance over and thats good enough for me.....

Steve

Shady_Pro
everyone on this site naturally hates....its like guilty until proven innocent:dunno:

People looking isn't always a good sign... :dunno:

I'm sure the guy with the red clk320 at DTP gets lots of looks on the street too, but do you think it is because the car looks good...?

94turbocoupe
i get alot of smiles and thumbs up....as soon as they realize its CF, people give alot of compliments....but its cool that you dont like it.....i do

Personally I think you painted the wrong half of the car.

94turbocoupe

94turbocoupe

No, I meant when your car was black, paint the CF panels black rather than paint the non-CF panels white.

white_crx89
looks really good, im a big fan of CF. cant wait to see it at the track

baker_jeff
I hate the style of the front and rear bumpers, but I'm all for the Panda/Bumblebee look!

94turbocoupe
ya it wasnt my first choice either....but the price was right and it was in stock which is hard to find for CF parts like these so i went for it.....and for all you haters....i never said this is what my car is always going to look like....i like to change it up every year, i was thinking about that white clear like paint to paint the cf next year who knows.....its just a hobby of mine and i like to work on it....everything so far, except for paint, was done by me....thats all that matters....

Steve

2forgo
not my style but props for the motor+5 lug+wheels

snugs
Saw that car today around 50th st... first thought was "Damn, dude needs to get that thing to the shop to finish the paintjob."

Why not get some custom paint on the doors so at least the color flows a bit better? :dunno:
