I don't understand how he got premission to run a funny car down a public highway lined with people :dunno: It makes no sense to me.
These cars are designed to run only on prepped race tracks and not public roads. Thats some fucked up shit.

| Driver was fine (it's a race car with a huge cage) but now 7 people have died at 20+ injured. |

Yeah, as Tokes said the driver is fine but the death toll is up to at least seven. It takes a lot more than some people to injure a driver in a full tube-chassis car.

I couldnt believe this happened....but honestly who in hell would actually stand unprotected and watch this? These things crash all the time at the track (main reason for roll cage)...Are they going to start having nascar races on tracks lined with people instead of cement walls?
It blows my mind that this was ever allowed to take place. Think of how safety conscious race tracks are...even here when cars with under 200 hp are running quarter miles. |
