Memory improvement and techniques - Click HERE for Original Thread

Seks
Since I am most likely going back to school in fall, I am looking for guides, dvds, tutorials, whatever on what I can do to improve my memorization techniques.

I guess you can say I want to be that person who can fall asleep in class and still gets A.

Any leads?

That's genetics buddy. No magical drug will give you A's without trying if you couldn't do it au natural.

But try Memory-FX. I forget what the active ingredient is in it, but you can find it at health stores. You should notice a difference. Also great for stoners trying to fight their short-term memory loss

I like to try to involve different parts of my brain when I'm trying to understand or remember something. For example, instead of just listening to the instructor, try to summarize and write it down right after class. When you're studying, read it out loud because that involves yet another part of your brain. Do lots of different things with the information instead of just reading it over and over.

Another trick is to try teaching it to someone.

yes this is good. the more different parts of ur brain u use the more neurons fire, creating more links, which in turn will help u remember as well as keep ur brain active, which will also help u out later on in life when ur older.

the best trick that helped me through---> think back to your jerk off job and try imagine how the trailer park/parents basement life would be...then study like your dreams depend on it. this thought process worked for me and i just graduated with a business degree and got an awesome job..........so the fd is on the way and my visa is getting paid down.
I would also like to add...... as hard as any schooling is (except med school/law school/ and some engineering) it is still not as crappy as a dead end 9-5 job.
PROS-> you can come late, leave early, no dress code, lotsa eye candy, xmas+reading week off, the only acceptable reason for being broke in this province, if banff gets 2 feet of powder- you can be there any weekday, parents will love you more, gf will think your the man, gf's parents wont think your a total tool, spring break in cancun, and did I mention the eye candy..... so if you have chosen to commit yourself look at the lifestyle, its not horrible.....actually it might be more enjoyable than you think!! cheers and good luck with the studies, and this goes for anybody else who is intending on diving into some higher learning, its not for everybody!!

The problem is the majority of individuals do not understand the concept of learning to learn.

The trick to understanding incredibly complex concepts is to simplify them. My personal favorite..... the use of Acronyms.
