So for some odd reason my car alarm keeps going off. Did it last summer, didn't hear a peep out of it during the winter and I guess it started acting up again.
I doubt it's a loose connection cause I would have heard it at least once during the winter.
Any clues as to where one would start looking? 2000 civic (sir if it's of any consolation).
thanks in advance! |

How's the strength of your battery?
And the quality of the battery connections? (any corrosion on your contacts?)
Does your system utilize a motion sensor? (make sure you don't have any loose metal objects close to it like coins, etc.) |

| It's not an ultra start by any chance is it? |

| the best alarm is to just take out your battery... who puts a battery in their back pocket... |

| this may sound weird but check the hood pin for water tracing,it happens when it rains, water runs down the hood pin making a connection setting off the alarm, try greasing the hoodpin,if you have no hood pin, start unhooking sensors one at a time, start with the impact sensor, and then door pins, finally trunk pin,if its all unhooked and still falses, probably a bad unit(cold solder on the main board,or a weak component on the board). |
