Dude, go oldschool on it.
headers,
intake (intake manifold... not a "CAI")
upgraded carb,
Better ignition or upgraded to transistorized (dont think this one does but it might)
electric fan,
etc etc etc etc etc
NOS and turbo is silly talk. |

ok i was thinking intake , carb
whats u mean by the ignition shit? and electric fan haha
thats probally all id be doing to it anyways im not spending much money on this beater i can redo the interior and rust sports and minor shit like that as ive done some body work before so besides fixing up the normal wear and tear liek wires and hoses a paint job and nicer rims/tires would be the only other thing id be doing |

| Sell the car and buy a cheap car like a GT-s corolla or a 240, civic. They are cheap on gas and cheap little upgrades are readily availible. Thatas what i would do IMO :) |

the 360 should have a 4bbl on it, I'm not sure if it has lean burn or not. You can get a mopar ignition conversion if it does (it'll have a big black box on the drivers side of the air cleaner housing if it does have lean burn).
Umm Yes, headers, 2.5" true duals with a X pipe.. you can cam it up.
Electric rad fan... I have one on my 318,, really don't notice it.. I might have gotten a little more mialge out of it, not sure about hp though.... I should dyno test that ... slap it on.. dyno, take it off, dyno..
Don't get a flex-a-lite dual electric.. I had one and it failed within a year, took my rad fan out with it too...
If you want to go the cheaper way find an oem one from a wrecker or dccontrol.com very nice units.. I have the dual 12" now.. very quiet copared to the flex-a-lite.
Umm check your rear end gearing... your is prolly a 3.23, mine is a 2.2.. bring that up to a 3.55 or a 3.94 would help in the bottom end, top end would suck and highway milage will take a hit.
If you have a thermoquad carb, you could get it custom rebuilt by Demon Sizzler - thermoquads.com - I have one.. nice 4bbl it'll flow over 800cfm if need be, but I need to get a few more parts before I bolt it on.
Umm an Eddie dual plan performer would help.. you could go for an air gap or what not, but they start to get pricey... |

i think it got lean burn? it has some black box saying yadda electric ignition system or something
fucking with the tranny isnt gonna happen as im going to do all the work myself so i dont want anything to hard or anything i have no clue about ( cams, any shit that actully inside the engine pretty much) |

Well gearing is just the rear end... 4 U-bolts and the drive shaft... you'd need to bring it to a tranny shop for the speedo to be re-geared.
You could bring it to a tranny shop for a shift kit, it's like $100 + labour
Umm yes you have lean burn... the lean burn ectomy kit you can get true mopar or you can get a purple or blue kit, can't remember the brand from Mopac for about $200 + carb
Eddie dual plan performer is like $250 for a 318, not sure for a 360, I know JB's has a sale on them right now...
Soo umm yeah.. Headers, exhaust, intake manifold(you can swap the mani without changing the carb). I'm told you can get rid of the lean burn and not need a new carb if it's a certain type of carb.... people over at allpar.com could prolly tell you that stuff. |

It's got a unibody design me thinks... it's a sister car to mine. I really don't think the frame will handle a 440... shoot some of the frames barely handled a 318.
*** edit... well found on allpar a 400 was an option in some... |

Saw it there yesterday while I was there looking for tails and a master clutch cylinder for the jeep.. Of course they had NO Wranglers there!! |

| for something super cheap just even start with the new carb and then get into possibly even putting a cross ram intake on it, i saw a guy with one on his 360 but it might have been custom made, carb is the easiest way to go and if you want to get into somethingthat wouldnt be exactly cheap but would ive you better mileage yet more hp you could run a 6 pack setup on it, look on e-bay they are normally around $2000 when you can find them but they run on 2bbl carb when your not pinning it and then all 3 2 bbl carbs when you jump on it. just something to think about. |
