| from the trailers they make a big deal about the oil tanker driving over a ford mustang. why is this?? Stereotypes? Do the Honda fan boy pitch a tent when they see thiss? I Don’t get it...its common knowledge that a ford mustang is the best bang for the buck all around in the price range. All you drool over a 1993 Nissans or 1995 civics. I laugh at that you so hard with your 110 horse and your garbage can exhaust. Get real. All those cars are garbage. Give another tip to a 16 year old kid who says that hes got $5,000 for a car, and then list off all the overpriced Asian 4 bangers who have 150,000 km and are 5+ years old. Hehehehehe funny… and then the culture (the movie) runs over a mustang, how pathetic… modern mustang run circles over you Japanese wonder boys anyday of the week, however the marketing has got you mesmerized, I guess you cant help that….oh well…keep throwing out your money… |

Wow someone is pathetically angry!
Take a look at the trailer! The EVO and the Eclipse are running from the Stang and Vette. Not 100% sure but it looks like the highway is going from 3 lanes to two lanes. Ahead of the 4 cars are the rigs. The rig on the right starts to merge out of the lane that is ending onto the 2 laner. The EVO and Eclipse squeeze between the 2 rigs. The stang which is behind them tries to do the same but is to late and gets fucked between the 2 rigs. The Vette which is right behind the Stang crashes into the ass of the Stang. The Stang is a Cobra too.
BTW don't be so insecure about your beloved mustang getting smashed. Just a damn movie! Do you need to take a nap or have your f@cking diaper changed?
You didn't see anyone crying like a little girl when the Supra got smahed in the first one. I guess you just got smoked on the street by a 1995 Civic, thats usualy the reason why people like you come to places like this to cry.
As for the Japanese wonder boys, i'll take an STi and smoke your Stang, turn around and smoke you ass again before you finish the 1/4. Oh and don't cry about how much more expensive an STi is compared to a Stang GT, you are the one comparing a $32000 car to 95 Civics. |

I'd have to say that reliablilty on those 5.0's is pretty damn good. I'd take an unstressed small block over an overstressed 4cyl almost any day. Warrenty? Domestics are coming back with a vengance.. 10yrs on the new chryslers..
As for the STI vs mustang? STI si the full out american version... 34k usd? Cobra SVT is around the same price.. give or take a k or 2..
Its not the comparisons that are stupid, its the mentality. C'mon, everybody can defend their own choices to the point of convincing themselves which is better, why bother TRYING to convice or bitch which is better to people who chose something else?
And about a mustang running circles around japanese vehicles? BHAHA, mustang chassis hasnt changed much since the late 60's, the ONLY major improove ment has been Idependant rear suspension. Name a car or 2 thats come out of japan which has used a solid axle in the last... 15 years? Mustangs do a few things good, straight line is what its king at.. as for running circles around something... I'd put my money down on an STI DESTROYING a mustang around a road course.. not because its japanese, but because its built better for it...

Klutch - I think you're picking a fight in the wrong place here. The people the frequent this site are people who love sport compacts and the lifestyle associated with that. There are a lot of people on this site who not only have respect for their favorite asian and european imports but even domestics too. Your comment about cars being only from Europe is rather odd... They may have originated there but that does not mean they were perfected there! Countries like Japan, USA also produce great quality cars and often awesome purpose built cars (ie: STI).
:wacko: I don't think there is any reason to join a site, and start posting as though you're packing an attitude. Settle down just a little... and if you haven't noticed already it seems the site caters more to the sport compact crowd, and if you're an enthusiast for Euros, Asian, or Domestic rides then this is a great place to be. |

Why don't you tell us what you drive? You seem to think you know ALL about cars, and think that they all come from Europe, explain further. I REALLY wanna see what you drive, because like Chromey said, there are a TONNE of imports that would run circles around domestics. I.e. my car, Mitsumans car, and numerous talons on this site.

I have respect for all cars, even if they are v8s. All cars have a certain area to specialize in. The mustang is good in straight lines. Where as the lighter imports are good in the curves.
