i just got a new notebook but its from overseas and uses an australian type plug. this kind:

my question is can i replace the cord going into the "power brick" with my other notebook's which has a north american type plug?

there is a cord with an outlet plug and it connects to the "power brick" and is removable, thats the one that i am gonna replace just in case it wasnt clear.

thanks

What are the stats on the converter? They will be on a label, somewhere on the "power brick". You may have to replace the entire charging assembly.

on the "brick" it will say something like

input 100-240v ~ 'some sort of amps'
50-60 Hz

if it says that then yes you can take a different power cord and plug it in to the brick

ya, the input 110-240V
thanks guys
