well the z is alive took it for a spin and i think i have boost leak :( go past 4k rpm and it will drop and bog so i assume i got alot of boost leaks lol but other than that car is running goodish......just need to boost test it and probably check timing. i will have a little video of it running by probably tonight or tmr. thanks everyone for the support and help :)

Double check your MAF connection as well while you're at it.

Do the RPM's keep on climbing though? If so, then yeah, it could be a boost leak. If the RPM's don't climb, then I think you may have some other problem. I would suspect that it could be MAF or CAS.

if a using a underdrive pully do i need special belt for power steering?

If you have a UD pulley, all your accessory belts have be a different size than oem, not just PS.

Also check your TPS connection. When the engine starts to make a lot of torque at 4K RPM, it can sometimes pull on the TPS connector wire as the engine twists, and will cause it to suddenly loose power and stop accelerating.

Make sure your TPS wire is loose and free, and not wrapped around other wires.

i did remove the cas but didnt not move it as in the 3 bolts that hold it would the timing be changed?
