I HIGHLY doubt that anyone here has actual experience, but at this point, i'm willing to grab at any straw that might be possible....
I want to use my Motorola V330 EDGE(GSM) phone on Roger's to "dial-in" to the internet.
According to Roger's, I can do this by connecting the phone using a standard USB patch cord, and installing the "Motorola USB Modem" driver that I got from "P2K Commander"
Then, also according to Rogers, I just have to dial "*99# "using my dial-up software on my lappy, and use "wapuser1 / wap" credentials.
All of these steps seem to work OK, but the problem that I am having is that after the dialing and password process finishes, the computer hangs at the "registering your computer on the network" window, and then gives an error "734", which means that the PPP protocol was terminated. I'm guessing that I didn't get an IP address from their server.
Has anyone tried this before, and did it work? maybe it's just because I'm 1.5 hours north of Fort Crack.
thanks,
