Nice car but the shot would be even nicer without adam in it :D

JustinL
LOL

Yeah, I'm not sure what Adam is doing there... 2 handed devil salute it looks like.

The car should be back together on tuesday and hopefully re-dynod with the new wastegate and injectors before summer. I'll make sure I update the chart so people can see the progress.

Thanks again for the compliments

Hey I saw you cruising around the other day Im sure of it. Unless I seen one of the "11" out there. If it was yours I saw going into ed on gateway nice ride man I gave you  as I passed you.

JustinL
Nope, wasn't me... :( mine still sits in the garage.

I've seen one other silver 944 turbo in town, but it wasn't a silver rose. That would be cool if there was one in the city though.

JustinL
I just bought a new digital camera, so obviously I had to take some new picture :)

v nice car man, what does it run on the track ?

this car is sick! I love it !

JustinL
Thank you for the compliment. I have no idea what it would run on a drag strip. The drivetrains in these cars are notoriously quite fragile for launches... I've broken 2 cv joints already and I don't even launch my car! Once the boost builds though it really comes into it's own.

Anyway, more pictures!

My silver 951 and Alex's red one at the PCA autocross. I've got the track wheels on here. Not the prettiest, but hey it works well.

The latest round of mods is complete.

PowerHaus K27DR turbo
clutchnet 6 puck disc
Blaszak +30% pressure plate
Fidanza Flywheel
Lindsey 4" exhaust
Deka battery and other weight reductions

So far, I have been quite happy with the setup. The clutch is a bit difficult to slip smoothly for inching into the garage. I've learned to be much more aggressive with the pedal and it's starting to break in a bit more now and getting better. Once it's rolling it's awesome though. I really like the light weight flywheel. The engine doesn't sound lazy anymore when I rev it or blip for downshifts. The exhaust is loud, as expected, but I think it sounds pretty good. The k27 seems to make good power, but I don't trust myself as a dyno. I'd say it feels slightly improved over the k26/8 in terms of lag and very efficient at keeping the intake air temps down. I'm not quite up to full boost yet with my tuning on the megasquirt; I'm now at 210kpa and it feels plenty fast. The first hard run will be this weekend at the track trying to catch up to Dand86951 using his own old parts!

Alex (ae1969) made that awesome bracket for the Deka. It reuses the stock mounting points and holds the battery very firmly in all directions. Ingenious work Alex.
