I was travleing on 156 south towards ST. Albert Trail, as i turned on to St albert trail north i accelerated at a normal rate and the pick up behind me did the same. As i was heading north towards the church/cemetary a semi truck and trailor beside me (i was about 1/2 the wayback from his nose) decided to turn into my lane, just as a reaction i panic'd being i was in the curb lane and there was a truck behind me i dropped my car into 2nd and pinned it, i pulled out just enough that he caught a glimpse of me and swerved back into his lane. As i get ready to slow back down a police officer walks onto the road and points me off into the church parking lot, and i get a ticket for 104 in a 70 zone. I tried to explain to him that i could have been squished but he said regardless i was still speeding.

I was speeding, i did accelerate like a bat out of hell, and i was probably doing 104, but i got scared of getting into an accident with this semi, i was trying to avoid an accident, not speeding for no reason. all of this happened between 156 and the church on st albert trail mabey 300m. I tryed to explain myself but the officer wouldnt hear it so i aggreed took the ticket and set a court date. Am i wasting my time to have this looked at?

The best I think you can do in this case is to plead your story to the JOP/CP/Judge and hope they are leniant on you. There is a sticky at the top that gives you some info on seeing the JOP ahead of time.
