WTB/Borrow: injectors - Click HERE for Original Thread

2ndgenlude
my car is acting funny at the moment. the RC 1000cc injectors are not cooperating and i was just curious if someone has some dsm 450 blue tops, or some 550-750cc rc's for sale/ i could borrow for a day or 2 just to see if i need a smaller injector.

seems even with a stock fuel map the car wants to run lean. could be that the ecu just doesn't like the huge injector, not sure.

anyways anyone have anything?

and i need peak and hold.

Ayeso
What engine management? Crome? Hondata?

You are running a stock map ie, stock changed over to 1000cc?

Is your 02 disabled as well?

how lean? did you try richening it up quite a bit?

1000cc's are a pain to tune.

**edit I have some 240cc peak and hold u can try....

2ndgenlude
240's are smaller then my stock ones.
trying to start it on crome. it runs, just lean.
no idea if 02 is disabled. car is at afi performance. there trying to get her going. on a stock map for 345cc injectors, having 1000cc's in should just flood the motor right out. but its running lean. there putting a aem rail and pressure gauge on troday to keep a eye on the fuel pressure.

I had the same problem, except mine ran super super rich. Turned out it was because I had an old revision of the program. Just something to check.

Is your car low or high impedance?

2ndgenlude
low, and now that you mention it i think it is the old version of crome. but the file was made in the current version, so shouldn't it work?

baker_jeff
Not necessarily, maybe the new version saves the file differently or something. Try getting the newest version and using it.

2ndgenlude
the version of crome we are using is the same version the basemap was made on. so really, it should work. i don't know lol, it seems its one thing after the next lol. hopefully they can figure this out fast. i would really like some lower cc injectors to try though :)

integraboi_00
i got some dsm 450, i will try to look for them and get back to you

too much money. i already spent 350 on RC's, i just need a set of cheapo dsm 450's or something to make sure the rc's are doing what there supposed to.

S O
Note that if you run rich enough to misfire your WO2 will read lean as there is a much higher concentration of unconsumed O2 in the misfire exhaust than there is unburned hydrocarbon. Not sure how your engine management works, but this is a fairly common problem.

2ndgenlude
ya, we pulled the plugs after it ran too and they were bone dry. prbably a simple fix, just have to find it.

If you have a stock map and didnt change the size of the injectors on the map ot wont run right.

if your worry about the rc injectors not working right get them flow tested.

2ndgenlude
my point is since i didn't change the map, it should have flooded right out with the huge injectors. but it didn't. think i found some 450's. we will see.

CamroseFC
i have 550s that will work- low imp. densos: part no.195500-1370.
40bucks per injector. they have been cleaned.

2ndgenlude
still a little much for test injectors lol.
installed a aem fuel rail/ fuel pressure gauge, and car holds constant 40psi fuel pressure, at a 15.0 afr at idle. pretty good if you ask me, just a little lean. i think the problem is in the tune, not the injectors. anyways we will see.

Shox
I put 1000cc rc in my civic hatch with a h22 and it start up and runs just uses alot of fuel.

Praylewd powr
you could quickly flow test the injectors at fuel injection plus just to see, but the problem sounds like it is in the tune like you said. Likely the fuel injector calculator would be the first guess. What happened to hondata? And this is too bad, cause I believe this is a benson block right? You want to get the motor broken in properly sooner than later rather than troubleshooting injectors. Hope you aren't running it too much or just driving around part throttleing it. You want to break it in hard!

2ndgenlude
no, not driving it at all, started it maybe twice so far for around 10 secs each time just to get a afr. car is just waiting for dyno time. won't be started again until its strapped down.
you still have that hondata file duane? if so i should just use hondata. martin just likes crome, hence hes trying to get her going on it.
