Honestly, it's way more annoying to read "ADS FTL FGTS KTHX READ BELOW" than to just ignore the ad and read the post. Why go through the trouble? Just ignore it...
I have no vested interest in this site either, btw. Yes the ads are annoying, yes the useless first post is even more annoying than the ad. |

anyone care to total up the bandwidth needed, the cost of running a forum .
how much does each sponsor have to pay a month??
and how much revenue comes in for those ads? Then do some + and - to figure out if its that much more profitable for 780.
if it breaks even, we all shut up.
if there making money off of it, i'll be ready to start a new forum under an alias called JDM and USDM 1980's to now Compact sports cars forum of Alberta North |

I run a board.. actaully I run a board and host a couple others... I run it on my own server, no sponsors, no ads.... :P
Now if 780 is on a co-located server.. I can see how that can cost some $$$... I had my server in a co-locate for a week and wow...that got extra pricey fast.. |
