need STRUT ROD bushings ASAP!!! also known as the tension rod bushings for a 90 300ZX - Click HERE for Original Thread

iLLlegal
my out of province inspection was due yesterday and
I need these bushings to pass!

dealership wants 200$ for the whole strut rod set up!

I just need the bushings.

NISMO makes them but I have no idea where to get them
in edmonton. if it comes down to it I need a parts car
for the front strut rods as long as the bushings are good
so I can pass and then upgrade to better ones.

IF anyone knows where I can get these bushings please
let me know. I dont know if the west end nissan dealership
has them or not because the stupid parts lady wont deal
with my Japanese car........

help!

(posted in where to buy section to, just need to find em soon)

If the bushings are interchangable with S chassis, I've got a set.

iLLlegal
enlighten me on this S chassis.

I was told on 3zc.com

You could do a search for 240SX parts, they are the same.

Those are what I call tension rods. I have the Energy Suspension 3-piece Poly-Eurathane bushings for these. Give me a PM and we'll see what we can do.

In fact, if you want I have them installed in T-Rods and I can sell you the whole assembly.

The problem with the OEM ones are that they are Gel filled and are prone to start leaking with age. When they start to leak, they throw the caster off and can cause vibration on the steering wheel.

I have my original OEM tension rods I could sell you, if you like. They came off the car at ~80k-90k km, and had not failed yet. They should be at least good enough to pass an inspection, if not last a few more driving seasons.

Just another option for you.

(although it'll be hard to hook up with me this weekend, with grand prix, etc.)

thanks for the offer inzane mixman is gunna help me out on this one :blue: :blue:

We've ALL experienced that feeling at one time or another.

I was uncharacteristically late getting my car on the road after winter this year. And currently I'm in jeopardy of not being ready for next weekend's autox.

uh oh. What happened?

Nothing really, the car is just missing a very important piece at the moment which I haven't got back yet.

With grand prix all this weekend, its going to be a scramble to get the car ready for next weekend. I may have to skip the suspension bits and alignment this time around just because of the time crunch.

The good news however is I have my tires, which got mounted today.
