PLEASE HELP ME

Blackout-spec
try looking under the bumper and seeing how that rubber piece is all held together.

then you can figure out how to push it in
or just google bmw forums... im sure you will find out how.

~sanj~
drive it into a wall

From my experiences with BMW although newer when you pull the bumper apart there should be the bumper shocks/ struts behind giving support/pushing out. All you should have to do is replace/remove/compress this and you should be good

e30 BMW bumper shock diagram

basically one end mounts onto your frame rail, then the other onto the back of your bumper. compressing it should not be a big deal since I believe they are set to go off at a 5-10km/h impact, and no they dont rebound, replacements range around 95USD a side

heres another useful sight. It is a bumper swap, but the cut away gives you an idea of how your bumper goes together

another bumper diagram

I really don't feel Like searching to indepth, I will leave that to you, but these were some links from general BMW sights such as bimmerforums, and the technical board on pelicanparts which I remembered, and I think you would have good luck starting your search there

do u have something solid to drive against, like a house or something? U can get a drill for cheap at crappy tire or princess auto, and 2 screws to put in the holes after u drill to keep it from comin back out.

You shouldnt need to put screws in because once it is compressed, it will never return to its extended state, hense the reasome for buying new ones after an accident

Dude it's not that hard, I have never done it myself. I have read on the net. All it seems you do it get under the car with a drill. Find the two oil filled shocks and drill a hole in to each one. I would bring a rag or two unless you like to bath in oil? Once you have all the oil drained out find something solid ( yes like a wall or a post). I would think of putting rags in between as to not damage your bumper. Then very slowly drive into the wall. I would have a spoter to see when the bumper is all the way in and not damage something else. There done, get that bumper painted and slap it back on. Then you can come back on here and ask how to get 1000 hp out of your car.

done thanks mike

for sure ithink the rear is good but the front hmm ok ijust dont want it to fall some day becasue we did only wires so hope it will be good iwill tape them tommorwo

omniman69
if there was more room i woulda used the screws, if u can get some hard wire, like welders wire or something that would work too.

mike

husyrs
are u sure with that wire that we did put is going to be ok for the bumper cause the back one is well done

T-LAV MRV
yes, and if it does fail(which i don't see happening) u can call me back, and i will sort it out aslong as it isn't tampered with.

i guarantee MY work, not those of others.

mike
