I have a 88 Aerostar van that I have pulled the dash and heater control system out off. I have removed the heater core and everything. Now I ma left with a connector that has 3 vaccume lines in it. When the vehicle is running it is trying to suck through one of these lines. Being I no longer have the heater controls and they arent going back in ever again, can I just plug this line and call it a day.

that vacuum line probably switches the climate control from one position to another, so it should be safe to plug it up

That would be your HVAC system. it runs from a plastic bulb somewhere in the engine bay. If its plugged its okay, usually it just opens and closes a door for venting air in some way. You'll find out in the winter if its open or shut.! (usually they default shut though)
