Is anyone into karting up at StratoTech? Or anyone in shifter karts in General?
I just need someone to talk to about classes and getting into the sport, I am looking to spend a decent chunk so I want something that can be competetive even if I go pro;)
There is so many different engine and chassis combo's, What crg kart is top of the line ,what kart will allow to go in big Canadian, North America Events? Looking at 125cc

I've got a shifter kart... but nobody to race :(
They didn't even run the class at the events up at stratotech. I've just been doing practices on my own because it's much cheaper and I get all the track time I need.
There are two classes of 125cc shifters, ICC and Moto. Moto are based on dirt bike engines, usually the Honda Cr125. ICC engines are Kart specific. ICC is faster, but needs more money and maintenance. The top series in the world are ICC and moto is more for a budget shifter racer.
Driving my ICC is the most intense driving experience I've ever had. The regular karts that area at most rental places are about 6 hp, ICC shifters are around 40.
