out of province inspections question about passing. - Click HERE for Original Thread

iLLlegal
Hey, its been like week 4 now since I got the inspection on my JDM nissan 300zx

my list of things where to put in DRL's replace my tension
rod bushings & the rear brake pads.

and they said my front left spring was deformed. but they said since its not BROKEN I won't need to replace it.

ok so I finally got ahold of some tension rods with new
bushings in them last week. and installed them.

When I went to go get my vehicle passed they told be I had to do more stuff to it!

on the print out it read

"THE TWO FRONT LOWER CONTROL
STRUT ROD BUSHINGS WORN"

now thats on two lines but I assumed it was the same thing

but when I got the car back they said I need to replace
my UPPER control arm bushings NOT the "lower control...." and that I need side marker lights! in the front and back. this wasn't even on my sheet. and they told me that I need to replace the springs now.

so I got home and I looked over the lower and upper bushings and they look FINE not broken or rotted.

and the spring is leaning a little bit to the side. but the car
drives fine.

as for the rear side markers I can fix that easy. BUT why the FRONT. do nissan 300zx's come with them in canada
:dunno:

anyway I just need some opinons on whether I should go back there and demand they pass my car or should I go to a different shop?

Go to another shop.

Does your car not have orange front side markers and red rear side markers, pretty sure all Fairlady Z's have them.

ya i have the side markers on the back but now he says I have to have it LIGHT up. wtf. and I have a 99' front bumper
so It doesnt have the markers.

I hate oop's and that I cant find parts for my car anywhere
in edmonton.
