FS: (maybe) 1989 Turbo dodge colt W/4G63 - Click HERE for Original Thread

I am thinking of selling my 1989 turbo dodge colt (mitsubishi mirage). last winter I put a pile of money into it with a JDM 4G63 Galant engine swap. I still love driving this car and it is fun as hell, but I realized I have grown out of my car phase of my life and no longer enjoy it like I thought I would

I have 8000km on all this work:

-JDM Galant 4G63T Engine (new t-belt, tensioners, ALL ENGINE SEALS REPLACED)
-1990 DSM oil cooler installed in front of radiator
-1990 Laser turbo FWD tranny (2nd gear is starting to hate life a little bit)
-Exedy Stage 2 Cerematillic "Thick" clutch (3-puck)
-Walbro 255 High volume fuel pump
-Optima RedTop Battery relocated to trunk in Box
-modified 1G intake manifold (shaved and painted nice)
-no engine upgrades (stock turbo, 450cc inj, etc...)
-reman front brake calipers
-EBAY Front mount intercooler - works great!!!
-custom made mandrel bent 2.25" intercooler piping
-FORGE MOTORSPORT BOV
-16x7 Rota Slipstreams in Steel Grey
-2 sets of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 rubber
-one set on the Rotas (225/45/16)
-other set on 15x6 Mitsubishi Galant Rims (205/50/15)
-both sets with about 70% tread left

-BRAND NEW $300 windshield installed 2 months ago

Here is everything else I did prior to last winter:

-4 Boston Acoustic speakers all amped with Pioneer 4 channel 300W amp
-Alpine MP3/CD deck (cant remember the model off hand but was $1200 new in 2003 - works great!!!!!!)
-4 new KYB GR-2 struts, lowered on cut TALON AWD springs (rides great)
-Germany spec All amber Corner lights
-BMW E36 headlight conversion (will include 2 sets of stock headlights in MINT shape)
-1990 Talon TSi Front bumper cut to fit FMIC

- installed a set of factory power windows I bought used off of one of my forums and modified the drivers switch to have auto down and auto up

-comes with TONS of spare parts.

car has 310,000km on it but runs and drives great.

there are a few things that need addressing that I will try and fix before I get rid of it like the fuel gauge quit working, I must have not connected the wires when I changed the fuel pump. and the seats need to be finished being bolted in. I put 1992 Hyundai SCoupe seats in it this spring.

I am looking to get $4600 obo for this car, I am taking a huge hit on this car but I have no need for it anymore.

NEW PRICE $3800 OBO!!!!
here are some pics: I will include pictures of both sets of wheels

bump for something different, i remmeber the 1.5turbo versions back home, a rare find these days. GL on the sale.

torquemonster
yea they were actually 1.6 turbo ones...and thats what this is....only 400 of these cars were brought to Canada and only in 1989...RARE Factory turbo car!

As an owner of a swapped 89 Colt, I can attest to the fun of driving one of these cars...I've owned mine for 10 years, swapped for 3, and it's been an absolute rush driving this car.

My black 92 AWD Laser that's almost perfect sits parked in front of my house because I'd rather drive my rocket that gets 33+ MPG

GL with the sale.....it's hard to believe anyone could lose passion for a car like this. I think it'd take a botched vasectomy before I stopped loving mine :D

Solless
i have seen this car run at the track a lil while back bump for wicked car

I have only raced it once with this engine and it didn't work out very good. the old tired low compression 1.6litre engine ran a 15.2 in the 1/4....I have heard of guys running 13.9's with this 2.0Litre set-up in dodge colts. I don't have much experience drag racing so I probably would not be able to get that good without lots of practice

spiff_d
What didn't work out so well? Bad launch?

torquemonster
yea and it was like 38 above that day...it was just an all out shitty run...and it was my first time drag racing in 2 years so I have to re-teach my self how to drive my car haha.

I NEED THIS GONE GUYS!!!! a deal just fell through!

I got the fuel gauge working and I just give it a good wax 2 days ago...

doom26464
