Besides elbow grease, what could I use to remove adhesive stuck to the surface of my dash?

Nope, I was just looking for something to assist the elbow grease.

off metals i would use brake cleaner

on dash u could try wd 40

pretty much any oil you use

side effect don't know whow each oil will react with dash

agreed with the goo-gone crap. I think that is the stuff I used once, and it (along with elbow grease) actually really worked wonders on a really nasty adhesive problem on the exterior of a car I had. I believe it is in a little container and the liquid is orange in colour (if I remember right) - something about the orange extract in it.... or something... I think...

(and peanut butter is true - also interestingly enough, cheese whiz to remove oil/grease stains from fabric -- learned that from Martha :blink: ... and before you make fun of me for that, I am a chick, so its sorta ok)

No shit.. and you don't need much of it at all... I bought my bottle 2 -3 yrs ago... it's still pretty much full and I use it quite a bit.
