If anybody wants to check out some good motorcycle racing come out to Stratotech next weekend, normally its just 1 day of practice, and 1 race day but this time around its a double header, so friday is practice and both Saturday and Sunday are race days.
There will lots of great racing to see, and usually at least a couple good crashes!
If you make it out to watch, wander through the pits and say hi, I'll be riding #186 flat black 600RR with white number plates in the novice class.
If anybody is interested in volunteering this weekend, send me a PM and I can put you in contact with the person who organizes this, I'm pretty sure they still need corner workers, which basically involves hanging out at a specific fcorner all day, throwing out warning flags if somebody goes down or there something on the track, and helping to pick up bikes if somebody bins it and needs help getting up.
There are some perks that come with volunteering, like free admission, free lunch and you get to see all the action from up close.
What: Motorcycle racing, mostly 8-10 lap races going from novice class through to expert, and also 15 lap superbike races, and a twins and singles class for the supermotards, lots of variety.
When:
Friday is race practice day, nothing too exciting but still open to the public if you want to watch.
Saturday and Sunday are both race days, there will be practice in the morning and races usually get started around 11am and finish up around 5pm or so.

Quickest way is usually up the Manning freeway (Hwy 15) until you hit the set of lights where it intersects Hwy 37, take a left at the lights and an immediate right up 825 and keep heading north until you see it on your left hand side.
If you're coming from the west, you could also go up highway 28, then go east on 37 until you get to 825 just before the set of lights at Hwy 15. |
