Recently while trying to get a xp cd key since i lost my xp home case i ran into some hard core adware from those damn helpful crack sites.
Anyways i tired ad aware and it found 244 things.
problem was still there after getting rid of them.
So i downloaded and installed a program called "super anti spyware" just the free edition and it worked amazing, found 54 that ad aware missed just 1 hour before.

who knew one of those crazy Japanese drifter name programs would work so damn well. |

Avast! is the one I use because AVG doesn't support 64bit operating systems. It's blocked a couple viruses and keeps itself up to date on its own. |

Kaspersky is by far the best for anti-virus. I have a box I use to just test virus scanners, one I go out and purposefully get viruses on, and kaspersky removes more than anything else. Winfixer, for example, nothing cleaned. not AVG, not Avast, not Norton, nothing. Kaspersky cleaned it up in record time. And it's not a "new" virus by any means.
For anti-spyware........don't be a dough-head and you won't get any. I never run any checks or anything and it works like the balls if you just avoid places you shouldn't go.
As for a shitty-named program "finding" 54 spyware programs that nothing else did......are you sure it found them? Winfixer is notorious for that. It tells you to buy these virus/spyware cleaners, when you do it claims to find a bunch and remove them, and then it stops the spyware that was put there to encourage you to buy them to stop. |
