Is there a difference in alternators?? I picked one up from zerro and i was looking to make sure they are the same but mine has the plug in through the back, the one I got from zerro plugs in through the side. Whats the difference??

now
when you say plug are you talking about the one with two wires
with the white plug at the end or are you talking about the
one with the one wire?

well the one that is on my car has a white plug in the back. (2 wires) and the alternator that I got has a brown colored plug on the side of the alternator. I am not sure if it has on wire inside.

Maybe different alternators from different generations S4/S5/S6, I think the S6 (FD) is the highest output stock alternator.
