| shitty deal man, i highly recomend malcoms. i too am extremely picky about my car and where i leave it but i was comfortable leaving it in their capable hands. in one day for $310 they removed my 15yr old purpleish baked on tint from the back windows and tinted all 5 and did an excellent job. i called and they said they were a little behind schedule but they stayed after hours to get my car done and done right the first time. |

wow dude, thats some of the worst shit i have ever heard of,
i thought i had it bad when my sensosrs kept getting replaced by the goys up at Midtown and they kept just making my check engine light go off for liek an hour and then it woudl come back on, luckely the car got written off so i never have to deal with those idiots again,
but thanks for the heads up on this place,
i woudl say make them pay for you to get it done right somewhere else and go to ziebart, i had really good success there atleast. hope it all works out though.

| Sorry you had that experience... take it over to malcolm's tinting and ask malcolm to do it for you. It will look good. Also.. i take some bmw's over there(aero car parts).. and i also haven't been happy with their work... just a heads up. Also.. whoever recommended you there.. had no idea what they were talking about. Imo.. take recomendations and references with a grain of salt.. alot of idiots around here. |

| I have had awesome luck with super tint and the reason I wanted to try them out is because they are recommended out the ying yang on our site and through Erikson. But he is refusing to refund my money. I don't want to take my car back again. 2 times is 1 to many |

I would personally go off. You came in with cash and you told him your standards and he still fucked it up. DEMAND your money back and get him to pay for your damaged interior. I had a customer walk into my work and he got work done at a&b sound... and they fucked it up.. and now are paying for thousands of dollars in repairs on his vehicle. |

Ryan, I can't believe how poorly you were treated, I felt a little sick just after reading this.
Eriksson recommends Aero because Aero does all of their spoiler, tint, and car starters. It's a business relationship, of course they are going to recommend them.
Ryan, go back and DO NOT let them get away with it. Never have I ever seen anyone who has had tint lift like that before. EVER, even with the cheap shit. It seems the window tinter is very poorly trained.
Point out the fact that you do not want to give them the chance to fix the problem because of all the damage done to the vehicle. Get any amount of money back that you can, whether it be 50% or 100%.
Stick with the recommended places like Malcoms, Garage Works, or Super tint. |

Well rage_rman, I hope you can go back and somehow work this out.
But I got to say, I've known Rick for ~10 years and he's a great guy. And to bash him publicly on multiple forums (yes, I've seen your two posts on NECC as well) like this is just not cool.
It doesn't sound like you've given them the chance to resolve this completely yet.
Rick is the former GM of Ericksen Nissan and so of course he is highly regarded at the dealership still. Ericksen has never been the same since he left... that dealership has been going steadily downhill ever since.

Yep, I've known Rick for a good 10+ years as well and I find it hard to swallow, but to be fair, we haven't heard everything.
I think what is happening is that Ryan has quite a tight schedule. I can sympathize because I have walked down that road before and you can't be flexible for anything if you depend on those paychecks.
If I pay money, I expect to see a good job done, period. You could probably find someone more particular than me, but you'll have to go a long way to find him/her.
One thing I've learned to date, is my time is my time and my time is valuable only to me, my wife and family, noone else will care about it.
I'm guessing Rick did not fully understand the complications of Ryan's timetables and his window tinter needs help and/or training.
But I must say, that is a pretty poor job. It doesn't look like the windows were cleaned properly. |

You know what Jason I tried to be nice and take it back a second time. They did an even worse job. What do you want me to do? I even told Rick at his shop that people told me he is awesome to deal with. His response was he has spent $120 in cabs for me and that he does car like the 5 series he pointed to.. This just made me angry. He keeps saying the same thing to me every time. If it was my car then I would maybe take it back but to see a worse job on my friend’s versa that was taken there by the dealer and was sold to him in a pealing state is just appalling. I cannot believe anyone has caught this. The reason it's on both forums is because he should not be aloud to walk over people like this. Maybe he is nice to you. But he turned very unpleasant when I asked for my money back . He has been annoyed every time I have taken a cab. Sorry Mr. Rick. I start work @ 8:00am every day till 4:00pm then off to my other job which is 5-5:30 – 11:00. I work about 35 hrs a week at both jobs. I don’t have time to wait at the shop. Plus being completely lied to about the progress of the car? I was told 30min – 1hr both times and was late because it took longer both times. I’m not one to ever post on any forums about crap like this but I truly feel I have been ripped off here. Rick keeps saying he will make it right.. Well in 2 try’s you have gone from worse to worse. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK. I will delete these posts if I can just get my money back. |

I wouldn't delete them. This happened and people should know it happened. If he comes about at fixes the situation to your approval then say post it.
You are the customer. He needs to make you happy, regardless of reputation or experience. If He/Aero Parts can't make you happy now, it's your responsiblity as a consumer to voice what happened. |

| it is unfortunate that you had a bad experience. but in aero's defence, he sub-contracts tinters to come do the tinting. often in a rush and/or late. to say that they are not good tinters or are poorly trained is odd to me. considering the places others are recommending or the places recommended on this board happen to be where the tinters are from. rick is the fairest person i have ever dealt with in this industry PERIOD. and i realize you are upset, but he already paid the tinters to do the car, so he has them redo it. and if there was damage that was in fact caused by the tinters, it will be taken care of. |

A long time ago, I took my Integra to Aero Car Parts to get a wing and front lip installed/painted.
I can sympathize with your situation because the paint flaked off and chipped within 3 weeks. When I took it back, they basically told me to go fuck myself.
This place is a joke. Plain and simple. Stay far, far away from them. There are much better shops to deal with in this city, especially when it comes to tinting.
Take your car to E-Z Motorsports, I've never heard anyone say anything bad about their tint jobs. |

The versa was done by you and was recommended through Erikson. My car was recommended through Erikson. That’s what they have to do with it. I have asked my friend about it and he doesn't have a receipt because Erikson paid to have it done on his new vehicle. Why can't you give me my money back? I'm not happy with your service.

I don't know the whole story but from what I can see, Rick paid for your cabs to work and back a few times, that in itself is going above and beyond in my books.
Rick also seems to be standing behind his work and offering to redo it time and again, given the chance until it is right.
Now you want your money back on top of the money already spent by Aero to cab you around? This in addition to the loss on materials and labor already invested.
It seems like even if you got your money back you wouldn't have a good thing to say about Aero. Seems like a lose - lose situation. |
