its 2am and I wish the stupid pork-chopper woudl stop doing loopty loops over my damn house. I have heard them do ATLEAST 15 passes overhead.. god dammit
Couldnt they have made that thing a little quieter? Or have respect for peoples sleeping habits?

| Actually it's pretty noisy compared to Helicopters in other cities. It's because the model they are leasing is not as $$$ as the more popular models. But it's true it's really irritating late at night when they don't have much to do and go over the same area multiple times. :D |

OK first they are NOT leasing the chopper anymore....its theirs!!!
second- it is one of the most quiet helicopters around......trust me i know!!!!!

You do realize that when they are flying over an area multiple times they are most likely following someone right? Would you rather they weren't there and when the person breaks into your house and kills you there is nobody around to help?
You guys need to stop complaining about cops so much and look at what they are actually doing FOR YOU!!!

I am pretty sure they arent chasing someone EVERY nite at the SAME TIME.. seems kinda weird to me.. *shrug*
Sure the porkchopper does some good for us.. But.. I think they shoudl have a little better discretion about flying over peoples houses close enough to throw rocks at..
Dont they have that infrared camera they can spot things int he dark with? Im sure they dont need to be close enough to read what the "bad guys" shirt says to make it work :)

| Actually those in the aviation industry know that there are far quieter helicopters available. They just happened to choose a model who's primary quality was not stealth or low noise. Many metropolitan areas have far quieter models. B) : As for them "chasing a bad guy" all the time... nah that's not always the case. I've seen them searching for suspects, believe me it's different when their on a mission, you can tell the flight pattern is deliberate and goal oriented, esp. with the spotlight on. But sometimes they fly through some parts of the city late at night with nothing on the go at that moment, and their flight pattern is more random and meandering, and the noise can be disturbing to sleeping citizens when they fly by on lower level passes. <_< I wonder if city hall just ignores noise complaints? |

well most of the time they are looking for someone or assisting with a vehicle stop. ALSO Air1 is limited to a 1000 foot minimum altitude...so I don't think that they are close enough to throw rocks at!!!!
and yes they do have an infra red camera....but again they are limited to a minimunm altitude of 1000 feet.
