:dunno:
i've had welding burns, deep fryer burns, cuts and stuff on my arms and i never really thought about it hurting just bleeding just thought i could block out the pain...any cuts deeper than 1/8" start to hurt so it's basicly the skin that has no feeling...
really this is brought up because i was at a fire (we were drinking) long story short someone was carving a stick for marshmallows and cut my arm and neglected to tell me so i sat there bleeding for an hour before i noticed (it got itchy)
so now my friends have me thinking i have like brain cancer or something... i did take a very bad hit to the head earlier this year where i had some nerve damage in my arms so i think it could be related to that ( http://forums.780tuners.com/showthr...hlight=hospital ) the tingling has pretty much gone away i only feel it once or twice every two weeks...
should i be worried or is this shit normal/pre-existing???
i'm at the doctor next friday but i'm starting to think i should go in faster
advice??? |

I wouldn't say it's "normal". |

Bah thats nothing. I'm the same way, I'm a welder also. Any burns heal super fast on my arms/hands. Same thing when I'm working on cars. I'll get cuts and not notice till I'm done, you look at it and wonder where the hell did that come from?
On a side note, although my arms/hands heal very fast, my shins on the other hand take forever to heal. |

| Usually i'll end up with a cut and never notice it, until later on, or until someone points it out to me. |

i called my doctor he said it's sort of normal as long as i can still feel stuff with my fingers.... :dunno:
but when i get in he'll take a look at it...
shit, i wish i didn't get worked up about this stuff
and invalid zero i'm the exact same way this cut will be healed completely in a week and i still have cuts on my shins from 3 months ago.. maybe it's a blood flow thing... |

muy buddy has this same affliction. He fell, drunkenly, onto a metal firepit and seared the flesh on his arm (think bbq chicken) within weeks it was fully healed. he felt no pain, didnt go to the hospital. nothing.
doctor said it was normal. |

My friend had the same thing.
We used to be able to use a staple gun on his arm and he would barly notice. I dont think its too serious. |

when i'm focused on a job and cut my arms or hands, i usually don't notice until after either.
but i would definitely notice a staple gun in the arm . |
