Hey guys what's up,
Don't know if you checked my post in the car audio topic, but yes I am another newbie to this website. I got a question for all the guys who have done engine swaps or are planning on it. I've done a few swaps myself and have gotten the engines from a buddy who owned a shop out in Vancouver, Red Shift Racing..then it turned into Spy Tunning. Anyways, he no longer has the shop and I'm planning on doing a swap in my civic. I was just curious if anyone knew any reputable dealers around Edmonton or Calgary that I could order and engine from. I don't need them to install it I can do that myself, I just need the actual engine, you know it's kind of an important part in doing the engine swap. lol So if anyone can help me out with a few shop names around central Alberta here that would be greatly appreciated.

i think midas southside got some clips in a while ago.. Pro Drag, Titan Motorsports, blah blahblah, should also beable to help you in your search..

| Yeah I tried the guys at Pro Drag but they never got back to me.....same as the guys from Phat Performance. I guess no one wants to import and H22A4. Haven't tried Titan Motorsports yet though, thanks man. |

First nobody would import a H22A4 engine in. most true jdm honda engines with a A1, A2 or B1, or A4 are all U.S.D.M engine and not JDM, so for what you are looking for you should be able to find at any local junk yard, So a word of caution to you guys who think that a B16A2 or a H22A4 engine is a "imported" JDM motor it is NOT!. I have seen a few local and heard or a few others in Calgray and Vancover that didnt know the differance and lost out. Not that the USDM motors are bad but they are not coming in some cases with JDM tranny's that usally have better gears and differant ECU's that perform better.
Look at the block if it says
H22A4 --- USDM--- complete with crappy tranny( just my opinion)
H22A --- True JDM--- the real deal!

You just saved me many headaches I'm sure. And maybe that would explain a lot for a guy I know who put in a B16A2 in his CRX..
