| i was wondering if i got a speeding ticket from ponoka, would the crown or justice of peace here in edmonton be able to do reduce it? or would i have to talk to a crown or JP in ponoka. would i be able to change the court location to edmonton? also, would pointts or tickets be able to help me out? |

I seem to recall something that you need to go down to the cp, or the courthouse down there.
Someone can clarify that for me.

yah, if you wanna fight it or whatever you need to go to the location stated on the ticket regarding court location. You can get them moved under special circumstances, but it can be a bitch to do so, and the courthouse tends to f' it up. I was dealing with a guy who had something transfered to the city and it took half a year to get straight because transfering files from one location to another is apparently very difficult.
actually, now that I think about it, it might even be different for traffic versus criminal charges... Read the ticket fine print - I am going to guess you need to actually go there. (I hacve never actually had a speeding ticket myself heh)
Moral of the story - don't go to frickin Ponoka :dunno: |

| wow, that's such a hassle. maybe i'll just pay it and take driver's training or whatever it's called. it's a 3 demerit ticket. |
