This weekend I watched... - Click HERE for Original Thread

First movie of the weekend was The Number 23 .

It was bizarre watching Jim Carrey in a serious role. It was very entertaining, although some parts were kind off "pulled along" for length. He is living a life with a family and he doesn't remember anything before them. His wife find a book and suggest he reads it. Mr. Carrey believe that this book is all about his life. It was nice how it all pulled together at the end, and I really didn't see anything coming.

7.5/10

The second movie I watched was Reign Of Fire .

It caught my eye as I went to bed the other night. TBS was showing it.
It was a nice little fantasy world. Dragons are real, and it is set in the not to distant future. I noticed the guy from 300 was in it (Gerard Butler) too. The acting was okay, and no one really seemed "famous" to me. But I enjoyed the flick.

7/10

The last movie I watched was Mr. Brooks .

Wow. I think this was my favorite movie of the weekend. Kevin Costner, I think, played the role pretty well. William Hurt played his evil, alter ego, sidekick. Mr. Brooks is a serial killer, goes through a very strong battle with his evil self. Family get's mixed in with business, and he does his best to clean everything up.
/I wish I was a cool serial killer - they always have cool lives/
It was a fun thriller/detective type movie with two or three stories tying in together. Out of all three, check out Mr. Brooks.

8.2/10

This is all my opinion, and take it with a grain of salt.

No one famous? Gerard Butler, Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey (looking like he's been juicing it and working out with Goldberg) are all in it.

I really enjoyed Reign of Fire as well. Great show.

I didn't mean it like b-list actors, just like not "every home in america" names. Don't get me wrong, Mr. Butler is a great up and coming actor, and his list of movies he's working on is getting longer and longer. He had a neat interview on CBC'c "The Hour" as well.
It was nice that it wasn't weighed down with someone like Tom Cruise. It was left to watching if for the story and not for the actors.

Ya know... I don't know... I need a

"3:10 to Yuma" in theaters: Very Enterntaining. 3/4

Cyanide Ride
Should catch Perfume: The story of a murderer.

Quite a bit different, Dustin Hoffman as the only big name, but the acting is very good. I recommend it.

Plot synopsis: Based on the bestselling novel by Patrick Süskind, PERFUME is a terrifying story of murder and obsession set in 18th-century France. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille has a unique talent for discerning the scents and smells that swirl around him, which he uses to create the world’s finest perfumes. Strangely lacking any scent of his own, he becomes obsessed with capturing the irresistible but elusive aroma of young womanhood. As Grenouille’s obsession turns deadly, twelve young girls are found murdered. Panic breaks out as people rush to protect their daughters, while an unrepentant and unrelenting Grenouille still lacks the final ingredient to complete his quest.
