Anyone have any idea around how long the average dsm 4g63t runs strong for before needing to be rebuilt assuming you do regular oil changes and dont drive the piss out of it ?

Yes i know there are a lot of contributing factors just want an idea.

it can be quite reliable. depending on whether it is the 6 or 7 bolt block crank walk can be an issue, and timing belt replacement at regular intervals

4G63's also came in na cars, those have a pretty good chance of lasting just as long as any Toyota or Honda. Crankwalk is overplayed so I'll disregard that. From personal experience 200k+ km cars usually have around 135psi compression and can last a while like that, but aren't a good base for starting to tune.

probably wont be doing much in the way of tuning was just worried about compression loss and everything seeing as the one im looking at has over 230K on it.
