import cars/fuel consumption. - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey guys I'm planing on buying an import pretty soon
which available import car has decent fuel efficiency.

Example.....Mr2,Supra JZA70, Skyline Gts-T/R32,180 SX,300ZX,Evo I, rx7 FD..

pretty much sporty imports..

:dunno:

which would be a good buy for a daily use. cept winter.

Malaria
well i can tell you right off the bat take the FD, skyline, 300 and supra off your list, they have ok fuel econ when you drive them lightly but they chug the gas when you have some fun. they cost alot to daily drive

the mr2 180 and evo have pretty good mileage when you consiter they are turbo 4cyl

You want good fuel efficiency? Get a old Honda Civic :p

tokes
He said he gets 35+ MPG on the highway.

Driving to the airport doing 110 the whole way on the ring road never getting into boost ONCE I managed 24 MPG in my GTR, lol.

My Benz gets the fuel mileage of a diesel! lol

It has a large tank (60L) But its great on gas. Last trip I took to work, I got 758km off of one tank!

Fuck you all.. I got a 60L tank and get like 380km..

I also go through about 18 QTS of oil in that time.

I win 300-350km/tank (unless I luck out and get 450km pure light highway driving) on 75L.

My mom's old Tercel got pretty good milage considering it was a 3spd auto with a 1.5L, it actually got the same if not a little better milage than the 1.3L 5spd swift I had at the time.(both were in the 30-35US mpg under mix of hard city driving and way to fast on the highway)

I have a friend same boat.

once he got 24mpg.

average is 16~18

he drives easy

friedn00dles
mm i get about 550-600km per 40L tank so id say i have it good :)

crzyone
My GTR gets about 18mpg on the highway. I am usually on devided highways so I average 120km/h or so.

airpak
I get 20mpg in the city with my Turbo Celica driving normally, maybe even a bit hard. Mr2 should be quite a bit better than that without the weight and awd. And I think I can get about 32 on the highway.

Yeah, 318 for me, next year I hope to get a 360, and actually I'll get a few MPG gains... weeee

Fazda
im a solid 60L tank of premium. averageing about 420km a tank. it sucks.. the turbos suck back the gas. i would recommend something small thats not as much of a pig like the mr2..

jzz30tt
78L tank on the Soarer and if driven normally 650-680 kms per tank. If i really baby it it can be as good as 720 and if your really 'spirited' for a tank as bad as 575 or so. That's at stock boost.

Mines a 350, but only 2WD!!
I'm sure it would be worse if it was 4WD.

We're a little off topic... but ya next year I want to go from a rwd 318 with 2.2 gears to a 360 with 4x4 and 3.92 gears(and about 500lbs heavier)... City milage will get better, highway will suffer a touch, but in the big picture milage will be better. So I'm probably one of the very fw who can say he's buying an SUV for better milage :P

crazyrx7
I get pretty good fuel economy on my fd if I'm not boosting. On the highway I would probably get 650km to 700km to a tank. It gets better economy than my 99 Infiniti Q45 did.
